The Certificate of Irish Heritage is the first official recognition by the Irish Nation of the 70 million members of the global Irish community. Having first read the proposal for an official recognition of the Irish Abroad in Ambassador to the US Michael Collins document in 2008 Senator Daly has been working on the issue. Kerry based company FEXCO were awarded the licence to produce, market and distribute the Certificate.

 

In his role as a Senator, he will be working with FEXCO to assist in a low cost high visibility campaign around promoting the Certificate to the various Irish organisations throughout the world.
