Since evidence has been given to the Senator of a priest who may have be responsible for child abuse in a border school in Cork he is trying to assist those who may have been abused.
Despite 7 allegations of abuse being reported to the Gardai between 1996 and 2008 No prosecutions were taken by the DPP The religious order has refused to reach out to victims. He is workong with victims and the relevant authorities to get counselling for the victims and pursue all legal options available.
As a result of his speech on the issue in the Senate on the 27th of July 2011, three investigations have commenced including a Garda inquiry. |
