Brian Crowley tops the polls!!

Brian Crowley topped the polls once again with 118,258 first preference votes, a massive 23.7% of the over all votes.

Brian Crowley was the first candidate elected in the South proving that although Fianna Fail’s popularity might be slipping, his certainly is not. Mr Crowley said he was disappointed that Fianna Fail didn’t win more seats in the local elections; he attributed the poor result to the anger of the people against the government. He defended Brian Cowen, pointing out that Fianna Fail is not one person, but a collection of people. He reminded us that ‘ we’ve taken this county through dark times before and we can take this country through dark times again’.  He also said he believes that Brian Cowen is ‘the strongest man with the most capacity to deliver’.

Mr Crowley has been a MEP since 1994, in 1999 and 2004 he topped the poll and was elected on the first count. He had proven his ability numerous times by serving the people of Ireland. Rumours have been spreading that he will run for President, but he refuses to discuss this, saying that to even be considered would be a great honour. He remains dedicated to the job at present ‘ my only job and test now is to deliver on behalf of the people of Ireland south, the people of Munster, and the people of Ireland’.
