On Friday the 29th of April I was re-elected to Seanad Éireann for my second successive term. I cannot thank enough all those who supported me in my campaign over the preceding months. Elected by Councillors on the Administrative Panel, I was the first to meet the quota of 133.001 votes. My sincere thanks to the Councillors who voted for me. However, while elected by Councillors, this success simply would not have been possible without the support and encouragement of my family, friends, and members of the community who stood by me every step of the way, not only throughout the election campaign, but throughout my time in the Seanad thusfar. I look forward to working with you all throughout what looks set to be a challenging Seanad term, giving a voice to the concerns of the organisations on the administrative panel in the Seanad, and representing the people of Kerry through this difficult and crucial time in our history.
