Senator Ted Kennedy

Senator Mark Daly:      I ask the Leader to send the good wishes of this House to Ted Kennedy and his family at this difficult time. The Leader met him when he was in Washington a number of weeks ago. This House and this country owe an enormous debt not only to Ted Kennedy but to his brothers who played an enormous role in instilling a sense of pride in being Irish. Ted Kennedy is a champion of our peace process and of the poor and the underdog and he has spoken for those who have no voice. Our thoughts and prayers are with Ted Kennedy and his family.
